Park Metal Detecting you say, is that legal?

Park metal detecting is legal in most local city parks. State parks and National parks have different rules, so be careful. The best bet is to always ask permission first. Simply visit the city town hall or local police department. There you can introduce yourself, tell them about your passion, plug your YouTube channel and assure it is acceptable to dig holes in your local city park. Remember, State & National parks have different rules!

Other Places to Metal Detect in Chandler Indiana.

There are additional places to metal detect in Chandler Indiana. One may be the Chandler Community Center. This is a large ball park that, with permission, might provide other valuable treasures. There are also local schools in Chandler, but again, be sure to secure permission before digging holes with your lesche or spade! Last thing you want is a bad reputation for digging holes in an area you are not to dig.

What did you find metal detecting?

I had a GREAT day at Chandler Park! My very first find I dug up a Ganz Lucky Turtle figurine. It was an incredible find. Not very valuable but a treasure to me no doubt! I also found an “L” pendant that reminded me of the “L” from Laverne & Shirley way back in the day. This little pendant is very awesome. It instantly took me back to my childhood days watching them and Fonzie on Happy Days. It was a very blessed day. Please watch the video and enjoy my discoveries.

The Wrap-Up

Park Metal Detecting can be very rewarding! I found just a little bit of clad, lots of old pull tabs and can slaw too. I did dig up a little bit of iron and some other misc. items. The big finds of the day were the Ganz Lucky Turtle figurine and the Lavern and Shirley “L” pendant that I dug up. It was amazing, both pieces of the pendant were in the same plug. I LOVE when that happens! So if you are bored, tired of sitting around watching TV, or just now discovering the excitement of metal detecting, get out there and dig some holes and find some treasure!
