Hudson Fine Pewter Knight with Fairies

Hudson Fine Pewter 5877 discovered. It was a chilly morning. Deciding to hit a local flipper house we are currently remodeling, the treasures were unexpected. Recently we had some dirt brought in from the mid 1800’s cemetery across the street and this Hudson Fine Pewter #5877 was part of the remarkable discoveries.

Old Pocket Knife Found Metal Detecting
This piece was only about 1/2 inch deep to my surprise. The depth lets me know this treasure was certainly part of the new dirt we had received. During this adventure, other discoveries were made including a really nice old pocket knife, a very cool old 2 piece button and some other relics including more pewter.
I have debated whether to ask permission to explore the HUGE pile of dirt they have in reserves. I would NEVER detect a cemetery, but the dirt pile sure has me interested. What are your thoughts?

The Minelab Equinox 800 metal detector was quick to hone in on this target and my new XP MI-6 pin pointer squealed delightfully as I quickly unearthed this mind numbing, hand crafted piece. Soon I was imagining how it might have gotten there and my thoughts quickly went to using Photoshop AI to enhance the image to include a fairy forest with golden booty as the lure.

I found a version on eBay that had not been dug. The piece is suspected to date around 1980. Those fairies sure did look disturbed when they discovered the knight trying to loot their golden treasures! Speaking of golden treasure, did you happen to see the amazing tree? In the backyard of this flipper home, there is an incredible old tree that had the most beautiful fall leaf colors! This was an incredible adventure. Read more blogs.
